Professional Development Session Proposal: Excellence in Teaching and Learning

INTRODUCTION

Educational research indicates quality of instruction as a leading factor in student-learning. Our Catholic School community has a wealth of knowledge and experience with respect to excellence in teaching and learning. We believe it is important to provide opportunities to share our collective knowledge and experience as educators in order to further our mission as a network of Catholic schools, and that in doing so, we will be able to better respond to contemporary challenges in education and ensure our long-term viability as high quality schools.

GOALS

• Recognize excellence in teaching and learning and provide an opportunity to share best practices.

• Promote dialogue and collaboration among Catholic School educators.

• Provide a wide variety of professional development sessions and topics to enhance teaching and learning in our Catholic Schools.
